Introduction to PA610 Material
PA610 (Polyamide 610) is a semi-crystalline, long-chain aliphatic nylon made from a combination of petroleum-based and bio-based raw materials. It belongs to the polyamide family and stands out due to its balanced mechanical properties, excellent toughness, and low moisture absorption.
Key Features:
Low Moisture Absorption: Compared to traditional nylons like PA6 and PA66, PA610 absorbs significantly less moisture, resulting in better dimensional stability and consistent performance.
Good Chemical Resistance: PA610 resists oils, greases, fuels, and many solvents, making it suitable for harsh environments.
Excellent Toughness and Flexibility: It maintains good impact strength and flexibility even at low temperatures.
Partially Bio-Based: PA610 is derived in part from renewable sources (castor oil), making it a more sustainable option among engineering plastics.
Good Wear Resistance: Suitable for components subject to friction and mechanical stress.
Applications:
