Material Characteristics

1. Low Water Absorption: PA1012, a type of long-chain polyamide (LCPA), exhibits extremely low water absorption, typically around 0.25%. This is significantly lower than conventional nylon materials like PA6, which can absorb 3-4% moisture. As a result, PA1012 maintains excellent mechanical properties and dimensional stability in humid environments.

2. Good Dimensional Stability: Due to its low water absorption, PA1012 experiences minimal dimensional changes in humid or temperature-varying conditions, making it suitable for applications requiring high precision.

3. Excellent Chemical Resistance: PA1012 demonstrates good resistance to oils, greases, fuels, and hydraulic fluids, making it suitable for use in harsh chemical environments.

4. High Toughness: PA1012 boasts exceptional toughness, with a high elongation at break and excellent impact resistance.

5. Low-Temperature Performance: PA1012 retains good flexibility and strength at low temperatures, making it suitable for applications in cold regions.

6. Good Processability: PA1012 is easy to process and can be molded into various shapes and sizes using injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and other forming processes.

Application

It can be widely used in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing(ol containers, textile machinery parts), and in the electronicindustry for making battrey casings, instrument rails, etc. t can also be used as bristles of toothbrushes, monoflaments and cablecorerings, etc.lt can be customized in injection and extrusion grade according to customers requirements.
