Introduction to Modified PA1012 Material

Modified PA1012 is a type of engineering plastic derived from Polyamide 1012 (PA1012), which belongs to the long-chain polyamide family. PA1012 is renowned for its unique molecular structure, characterized by a longer carbon chain between amide groups compared to traditional short-chain polyamides like PA6 or PA66. This structural feature imparts PA1012 with excellent properties such as low water absorption, good dimensional stability, and high toughness, making it suitable for various industrial applications.

Key Characteristics of PA1012:

1. Low Water Absorption: PA1012 exhibits significantly lower water absorption than short-chain polyamides, which helps maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in humid environments.

2. Good Dimensional Stability: The material's low moisture uptake and reduced internal stress contribute to excellent dimensional stability, crucial for precision parts.

3. High Toughness: PA1012 possesses inherent toughness due to its long-chain molecular structure, which allows for better energy absorption and impact resistance.

4. Chemical Resistance: It offers good resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including oils, fuels, and solvents, making it suitable for demanding applications.

Application

The modified Nylon compound can be widely used in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing(ol containers, textile machinery parts), and in the electronicindustry for making battrey casings, instrument rails, etc. It can also be used as bristles of toothbrushes, monoflaments and cablecorerings, etc.lt can be customized in injection and extrusion grade according to customers requirements.
