Modified PA6 (Polyamide 6) and PA66 (Polyamide 66) are engineered plastics optimized through physical or chemical methods to enhance the performance of the base polyamide resins. They are widely used in automotive, electronics, machinery, and other industries.
Molecular Structure: Formed by ring-opening polymerization of caprolactam, with a relatively flexible molecular chain.
Core Properties:
High toughness and impact resistance, especially at low temperatures.
High water absorption (approximately 3%–9%), affecting dimensional stability in humid environments.
Lower melting point (~220°C), wide processing window, and good flowability.
