ORINKO Polyamide 1010
Physical Characteristics
Appearance: Semi-transparent or crystalline white/light yellow granules with a glossy surface.
Density: 1.03–1.05 g/cm³ (lower than PA6 and PA66).
Water Absorption: Low moisture uptake, superior dimensional stability compared to conventional nylons.
Cold Resistance: Brittle temperature as low as -60°C, outperforming PA6 in low-temperature environments.
Mechanical Performance
Strength: High tensile yield strength (≥44 MPa), flexural strength (70 MPa), and notched impact strength (19 kJ/m²).
Wear Resistance: Excellent self-lubricity, surpassing PA6 and PA66 in abrasion resistance.
Thermal Properties
Thermal Decomposition: Stable up to 350°C but prone to oxidation and discoloration above 100°C over extended periods, leading to reduced mechanical strength.
Processing Temperature: Barrel temperature: 190–230°C; mold temperature: 20–90°C (adjusted based on part thickness).
Chemical Resistance
Solvent Resistance: Insoluble in non-polar solvents (hydrocarbons, esters, lower alcohols) but soluble in strong polar solvents like phenol and concentrated sulfuric acid.
Environmental Resistance: Resistant to mold, bacteria, and insect damage, ideal for outdoor and humid applications.
Electrical Properties
Excellent electrical insulation, suitable for electronic and electrical applications.
