Modified Polyamide 610 (PA610) is an engineered thermoplastic derived from the chemical modification of standard PA610, a semi-crystalline polyamide resin synthesized from hexamethylenediamine and sebacic acid. Known for its balanced mechanical properties, low moisture absorption, and excellent dimensional stability, PA610 has been widely adopted in industries requiring high-performance materials. However, through targeted modifications, its properties can be further enhanced to meet specific application demands.
Glass Fiber Reinforcement
Incorporating glass fibers significantly improves tensile strength, stiffness, and heat deflection temperature (HDT), making it suitable for load-bearing structural components in automotive, aerospace, and industrial equipment.
Impact Modifiers
Addition of elastomers or rubber particles enhances toughness and impact resistance, particularly at low temperatures, expanding its use in applications prone to shock or vibration.
Flame Retardancy
Flame-retardant additives can be introduced to improve fire resistance, meeting stringent safety standards for electrical and electronic components, as well as construction materials.
UV Stabilization
UV absorbers or hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) are added to protect against degradation caused by prolonged sunlight exposure, extending the material’s lifespan in outdoor applications.
Lubrication and Wear Resistance
Incorporating solid lubricants (e.g., PTFE, MoS₂) or fillers (e.g., carbon fiber, graphite) reduces friction and wear, making it ideal for gears, bearings, and other moving parts.
The modified Nylon compound can be widely used in the automotive industry, machinery manufacturing(ol containers, textile machinery parts), and in the electronicindustry for making battrey casings, instrument rails, etc. It can also be used as bristles of toothbrushes, monoflaments and cablecorerings, etc.lt can be customized in injection and extrusion grade according to customers requirements.
