PA1010 CF15 Material Overview
1. Material Composition
Base Polymer: PA1010 (Polyamide 1010), a bio-based polyamide derived from renewable resources such as castor oil.
Reinforcement: 15% Carbon Fiber (CF) by weight, enhancing mechanical properties and dimensional stability.
2. Key Properties
High Mechanical Strength: Carbon fiber reinforcement significantly improves tensile strength, flexural modulus, and impact resistance compared to unreinforced PA1010.
Excellent Dimensional Stability: Low water absorption and reduced shrinkage ensure consistent performance in humid environments.
Thermal Stability: Maintains rigidity and strength at elevated temperatures (heat deflection temperature up to ~200°C, depending on formulation).
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to oils, fuels, and many solvents, making it suitable for automotive and industrial applications.
Lightweight: Lower density than metal alternatives, enabling weight reduction in components.
Bio-Based Origin: PA1010 is derived from renewable castor oil, aligning with sustainability goals.
3. Typical Applications
