Belgium has Launched a 3D Printed Electric Bicycle with Biodegradable Materials

In October 2022, Belgian startup Shadow launched a new eco-friendly electric bike made with 3D printing technology -- Shadow M1, priced at 2,499 euros.

Shadow created the frame of Shadow M1 by FFF 3D printer. The material is biodegradable biopolymers, which also makes the vehicle very environmentally friendly. At the same time, research and development, manufacturing, assembly and other aspects are carried out in Belgium to reduce the transportation process as much as possible.

Before ordering the Shadow M1, users will have to submit their body data to adjust the frame size for the targeted design. According to Shadow's founders, the 3D printer is a revolutionary technology that allows us to create vehicles that match the shape of each user.
